Fee Schedule
At Little Hens Psychology, sessions are 50 minutes in length and are offered with either a Clinical Psychologist or a General Psychologist.
Our practice provides quality and accessible mental health care for parents and families. While we do not offer bulk-billing, Medicare rebates may be available if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

Medicare Rebates
Many clients access psychology through a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP. This allows you to receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
To access these rebates:
- Visit your GP or medical doctor and request a Mental Health Care Plan.
- Obtain a referral to a psychologist.
- Book your first appointment.
The full session fee is paid at the time of your appointment and the Medicare rebate is processed by our team after the session fee is paid. Medicare will deposit the rebate back into your nominated bank account generally in 1-2 business days.
Private Sessions
You are welcome to attend sessions without a referral, however these sessions need to be self-funded. Some clients prefer this option for flexibility or privacy.
If attending privately, the full session fee applies:
- Clinical Psychologist: $270
- Registered Psychologist: $220
Private Health Insurance
If you have extras cover for psychology, you may be able to claim a rebate from your private health insurer.
Please note:
- Rebate amounts vary depending on your level of cover
- You cannot claim both Medicare and private health insurance for the same session
- Claims are made directly with your insurer after payment
Payment
When booking, you will be asked to provide credit or debit card details, which will be securely stored and payment will be automatically deducted at the time of your appointment. If you have any concerns about session fees, please feel free to get in touch with our administration team before booking.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable. However, to respect the time set aside for your appointment, we require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or changes.

If we are able to reschedule your appointment within the same calendar week, the cancellation fee will not be charged.
Unfortunately, Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for missed or cancelled appointments.
